Wow, it feels like an eternity since I last posted anything. It’s my fault I know but life’s been ‘interesting’ to say the least.
Finally have a chance to tell you about our long over due vacation.
It felt amazing to be on a plane again, didn’t realized how much I missed them, although I we did run into some technical difficulties in Nashville when our plane was de-commissioned due to maintenance issues. But hey at least they found it before we took off so that’s all good.
The other thing I enjoyed this trip was all the coffee. We tried a new coffee shop every day (coffee addict at heart). Everywhere we went the coffee was great. Delicious!
And then off too the main subject of our trip. The sun, the beach, the palm trees, and the awesome adventure of whale watching. All of it was absolutely fantastic, and the whale watching was an amazing experience. I can’t wait to do it again!
I’ve been missing in action. I know.
I also know no one really reads these anyways so its not like anyone missed me.
I had lots of travel plans for this year. They’ve kind of dwindled now. Too busy being an adult and all that. I will be going to California in June/July so that will be fun, I’ve never been so I am looking forward to the adventure.
This year has been busy. Getting used to being married. Getting used to owning, and maintaining, a house. Its taken some time to wrap my head around everything and get used to how different everything is. Different worries and different plans. I’m working on getting back to some of my old hobbies. Photography, drawing, reading. I wish I had more people who’d like to have their picture taken though. My nieces and nephews would make perfect models but they all live in different states. Everyone local to me is camera shy. Insert dramatic sigh here…
But I make do. Cats make decent models too. Even if they are stubborn.
Enjoy life today. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow, may never come.
In my last post I spoke about how excited I was to be going to the Biltmore Estate for my husbands birthday. Things happened, life happened, and we will be rescheduling that trip.
A sweet friend of the family, not just friend but lets face it, we all saw her as family, passed away. I know that she is in a better place now and no longer suffering, and it seemed right that a woman who loves flowers so much was surrounded by so many.
My thoughts, love, and prayers go out to the family in this time of need.
The new year has gotten off to a VERY BUSY start. Work and life have been preventing me from doing a lot. There has just been so much to do. But I’m starting to get that balance back. Have started drawing more and reading again. Still taking pictures even though I don’t have quite as much time as I hoped I would.
I’m working on starting my photography business. I’d like to start using this to make some additional income on the side. I’m building my profile up currently but I’ll get that started soon. I think everyone should work towards their dreams and goals.
Is definitely going to be a great year. After all, I have my wonderful husband to spend it with. And one thing we’ve decided this year is to get out and have fun. For my birthday we went to visit West Virginia, somewhere neither of us has visited. It was definitely a lot of fun, a nice little getaway.
We have another trip planned in two weeks for Joshua’s birthday. Another weekend trip up in the mountains. Should prove promising for some great pictures. Not going to say where we are going, though. You will have to wait until my next post. Sorry being away for so long. I promise I will try my hardest to post more pictures and more often.
